You will work with Amazon's largest and most demanding customers to address specific needs across a full suite of services. You will dive deep into technical issues and work diligently to improve the customer experience. We are seeking highly motivated engineers who are focused on operational excellence and troubleshooting complex system operations, have a good understanding of Linux and automation.
We need engineers who understand how to both think big and simplify solutions to complex problems; all the while ensuring that our customers continue to have the best experience possible. This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.
Key job responsibilities:
- Build, deploy and monitor AWS Relational and Aurora and Services within Amazon Dedicate Cloud (ADC) regions.
- Design, deploy, monitor and automate infrastructure, tools and systems to provide a highly-available and resilient platform for our customers' and our team's workloads.

Basic Qualifications:
- Associate's degree, or Cloud+ or GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
- 3+ years of industry work experience
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AWS
- 1+ years of support procedures and methodologies for production computing environments experience
- Experience automating routine tasks
- Experience working with high-availability, distributed systems and services
- Experience with Linux
- Experience in troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Agile practices such as SCRUM, Kanban, or SAFe
- Knowledge of scripting languages (bash, python, etc.)
