This is a hybrid position. Candidates must be located within reasonable driving distance of the Denver, Colorado metro area, as periodic in-person team meetings and events will be held locally.
TeamAt Hitachi Vantara, our Cloud Architecture team is at the center of the company’s global digital transformation, delivering secure, scalable, and resilient cloud platforms that support both enterprise IT and product development. Operating across AWS as our primary cloud and GCP as a strategic secondary platform, we design and govern multi-cloud environments that enable innovation while maintaining strong security, networking, and operational standards.
As our cloud footprint continues to grow, we are expanding the team with experienced architects who can help shape our cloud strategy, modernize infrastructure, and support emerging technologies including AI and machine learning.
As a Cloud Foundation Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and governing Hitachi Vantara's multi-cloud foundation across AWS and GCP. This includes ownership of cloud organization structures, landing zones, identity and access management, network architecture, governance frameworks, and shared services that enable engineering teams to operate securely and efficiently will define the enterprise cloud operating model, establish standards and guardrails, and ensure cloud environments are secure, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.
Whatyou´ll bring
- Expert-level experience designing and administering AWS Organizations, Organizational Units (OUs), Control Tower, Landing Zones, Service Control Policies (SCPs), and enterprise-scale multi-account environments.
- Proven experience designing and operating enterprise cloud foundations supporting dozens to hundreds of cloud accounts/projects across multiple business units.
- Extensive experience with enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM), including federated identity, role-based access control, access governance, and cloud security architecture.
- Expert knowledge of cloud network architecture including Transit Gateway, Shared VPCs, hybrid connectivity, network segmentation, routing strategy, DNS architecture, and enterprise-scale multi-cloud networking.
- Expertise in AWS security, governance, identity, and cost management best practices
- Knowledge of serverless and event-driven architectures using services such as API Gateway and Lambda
- Strong preference for candidates with hands‑on experience designing and governing GCP Organizations, IAM models, Shared VPCs, networking, and enterprise cloud foundations.
- Experience supporting AI/ML cloud platforms and services such as Sage Maker, Bedrock, Vertex AI, or similar technologies
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification (current); GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification is highly desirable
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring capabilities within globally distributed teams
As required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected base salary for this position is: $120K to $150K.
