Our client is seeking an L1 Data Center Technician (DC Tech) to provide hands-on onsite technical support within a data center environment in Denver, Colorado. The L1 Data Center Technician will be responsible for hardware installation and troubleshooting, rack-and-stack activities, cabling, break/fix support, equipment deployments, inventory management, and ticket-based incident resolution. This is a fully onsite position requiring five days per week at the Denver data center.
The ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years of hands-on technical support or data center experience, strong hardware troubleshooting skills, basic networking knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, procedure-driven environ

Perform hands-on data center break/fix, hardware installation, deployment, and troubleshooting for servers, network equipment, storage devices, and related infrastr - ucture.
Execute rack-and-stack activities, including equipment installation, removal, labeling, and physical connec - tivity.
Install, trace, label, and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling and network conne - ctions.
Monitor and manage assigned tickets through ITSM/ticketing systems, ensuring incidents and service requests are completed within established procedures and tim - elines.
Diagnose and replace failed hardware components, including drives, power supplies, memory, network cards, and other server comp - onents.
Perform equipment inventory, asset tracking, documentation, and decommissioning acti - vities.
Apply basic networking and connectivity troubleshooting, including Ethernet, Wi-Fi, ports, and physical network conne - ctions.
Follow established SOPs, runbooks, safety procedures, and escalation processes, documenting work performed and escalating issues when re

4 - 7 years of hands-on technical support, field services, hardware support, or data center ex - perience.
Experience troubleshooting servers, laptops/desktops, networking equipment, or other IT - hardware.
Strong hardware troubleshooting and break/fi - x skills.
Experience with rack-and-stack, equipment installation, cabling, or physical infrastructure support p - referred.
Basic understanding of networking, TCP/IP, Ethernet, ports, and Wi-Fi trouble - shooting.
Ability to use ITSM/ticketing systems and accurately document techni - cal work.
Strong Windows troubleshoot in - g skills.
Ability to follow technical documentation, SOPs, and detailed work inst - ructions.
Strong communication, organizational, and customer servic - e skills.
Ability to work onsite at a data center five days - per week.
Ability to work in a physically active environment involving standing, walking, bending, and handling IT e
- Technician
Previous experience working in a data center, colocation facility, NOC, or enterprise infrastructure e - nvironment.
Experience with server hardware, storage systems, switches, routers, and data center infr - astructure.
Experience with fiber and copp - er cabling.
Familiarity with Smart Hands/Remote Han - ds support.
Experience with SCCM, IT Shop, Nexthink, or similar IT infrastructure and sup - port tools.
Experience with Cisco networking or Cisco video conferencing - equipment.
Knowledge of data center standards, rack layouts, PDUs, A/B power, and structur - ed cabling.
Experience with asset management and hardware invento
