Data Center Network Modeling Technician III

• Document, edit, and manage Inside Plant (ISP) fiber assets within data centers and Points-of-Presence (POPs)
• Record fiber connectivity, cable routes, and physical layer specifications
• Review engineering diagrams, design schematics, and vendor As-Built documentation
• Translate physical infrastructure information into accurate digital records using OSPi, Netcracker, ArcGIS, and similar software
• Assist senior specialists with data center model accuracy and logical structure
• Perform detailed data checks and help resolve discrepancies between physical infrastructure and digital representations
• Digitize, record, and verify passive and active network elements
• Log and memorialize Moves, Adds, and Changes in the system
• Run basic network data reports and assist with capacity checks
• Facilitate communication between engineering, installation, and field survey teams
• Use Auto Cad and Google Earth/Maps to visualize, plan, and communicate network paths and layouts

• Foundational knowledge or proven interest in telecommunications construction techniques, networking principles, or fiber optic technology
• Demonstrated ability to be highly organized and meticulous when working with data or complex documentation
• Proficiency with Google suite, especially Sheets
• Strong ability to learn new, complex software platforms quickly
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to clearly document technical information for various audiences
• Understanding of the importance of creating and maintaining clear process documentation and technical guides
• Any exposure to specialized fiber network management software such as OSPi, Netcracker, ArcGIS, or Small World (desirable)
• Familiarity with interpreting technical schematics or blueprints (desirable)
• Basic knowledge of data center infrastructure, racks, panels, or cabling standards (desirable)

Demonstrates proficiency in managing and documenting Inside Plant fiber assets, utilizing software such as OSPi, Netcracker, and ArcGIS. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate digital records and facilitating communication across teams.
