We are seeking a Patent Agent for a Denver office. The Intellectual Property Department provides comprehensive solutions to the intellectual property business challenges that face companies at all stages of growth-from individual inventors to large companies-in every aspect of their business that involves the acquisition, exploitation or protection of intellectual property. The firm offers full-service IP coverage in virtually every technology and product category, ranging from green technology, consumer goods, electronics, medical devices and manufacturing, to media and publishing, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, genetics, chemical engineering, semiconductor processing and nanotechnology.

As a Patent Agent, you will be involved in a wide variety of types of work, including patent prosecution and post-grant proceedings, client counseling, opinions and IP transactional matters. The firm often work cross-office, and you will be working with attorneys from other offices.

Experience

Required:

We are seeking Patent Agents with:

• undergraduate degrees, and possibly one or more post-graduate degrees (M.S. or Ph.D.), in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering

Candidates must have strong academic credentials and at least 5 years' experience as a Patent Agent carrying out patent prosecution, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. Candidates must be registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office.
