IP Litigation Associate

A nationally recognized litigation platform is seeking a 2–4 year Intellectual Property Litigation Associate for its Denver office.

This role involves substantive experience in both patent litigation and soft IP disputes
, including trademark, trade secret, and related intellectual property matters. Candidates must have exposure to patent litigation and be comfortable handling broader IP disputes as part of a diversified litigation practice.

• Early case assessment, including accused product and prior art analysis
• Drafting infringement and invalidity claim charts
• Preparing pleadings, dispositive motions, and substantive briefing
• Managing written discovery and e‑discovery processes
• Handling meet‑and‑confers and discovery negotiations
• Assisting with claim construction briefing and hearing preparation
• Working with technical and damages experts
• Preparing deposition outlines and supporting exhibits
• Contributing to trial strategy and preparation
• Supporting trademark and trade secret litigation matters alongside patent disputes
• Associates are expected to contribute meaningfully rather than operate solely in a support capacity.

• 2–4 years of patent litigation experience
• Exposure to trademark and/or trade secret litigation
• Involvement in claim construction and discovery practice
  
  Strong research and writing skills
• Excellent academic credentials
• A technical background preferred but not required
• Candidates focused exclusively on patent prosecution will not be a fit. This is a litigation‑driven role.

Base salary range: $175,000 – $280,000
, depending on factors including but not limited to experience, skills, education and location.
