We have an immediate need for a Legal Practice Assistant to join our Denver office. This role is a great opportunity for a skilled Legal Practice Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment while proactively handling the schedules and needs of busy attorneys in the Intellectual Property Practice Group. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, a good multi-tasker, able to adjust to shifting priorities in a busy legal environment, and be self-motivated, with the ability to work well independently.
This position does not include preparing or filing of USPTO related documents. This position is an administrative position which does require the knowledge and skill of an IP Legal Practice Assistant.
- Reviewing docket reports
- Extensive calendar management including schedule, cancel and resolve scheduling conflicts, calendaring
- Booking, managing and monitoring travel
- Records management: create, organize client and internal files
- Creating and maintaining electronic client files
- Tracking all administrative and client-related due dates and deadlines, including time entry and billing
- Preparing, submitting, and monitoring expense reimbursements
Drafting, formatting, proofing, and revision of documents - Filing notices, statements, and other documents with various governmental agencies
- Preparing binders and materials for hearings, meetings, and client interactions
- Planning and hosting various internal/external meetings; client interaction, including arranging audio/visual (via Zoom), catering and various needs
- Various office projects as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- We require at least 3-5 years of experience as a Legal Practice Assistant, preferably from a law firm setting within an intellectual property practice area
- Strong organizational skills and professionalism are necessary assets, along with the ability to prioritize effectively
- The ideal candidate will possess strong word processing, organizational, filing, proofreading, and excellent communication skills
- A candidate who has the ability to prioritize and manage work load independently would be best suited for this opportunity
- Strong PC skills are required, specifically in Word, Outlook and managing Zoom
Brownstein offers a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401k + match, profit sharing, and vacation/sick/personal time off, in addition, this role pays overtime for hours worked above 40 per week. We are offering a salary range for this role from $87,000 - $93,000.
