Targeted Legal is partnering with a boutique Denver law firm known for its collaborative culture and dedication to meaningful business litigation work.
The firm handles complex commercial disputes for small- and mid-sized businesses, including marketing, construction, real estate, and professional services, as well as select music litigation cases. This is a contract-to-hire role with the opportunity to become a key member of the litigation team, potentially serving as a right-hand attorney and successor to senior partners.
We are seeking a Business Litigation Associate Attorney to join the litigation team and manage cases independently, with guidance from senior partners. The role is ideal for a self-starter who can handle a full scope of litigation work, take initiative, and thrive in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage full-scope business litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Take ownership of cases with input from senior attorneys; no hand-holding
- Attend weekly litigation meetings and provide strategic input
- Participate in trial preparation and occasional courtroom appearances (trial experience a plus but not required)
- Handle disputes for small- and mid-sized clients, including commercial collections, real estate, construction, and professional services
- Collaborate effectively with partners, contractors, and support staff
- Contribute to the team culture while focusing on meaningful client outcomes
Skills & Qualifications
- Licensed to practice in Colorado
- Minimum 3 years business litigation experience (more preferred)
- Strong drafting and legal research skills
- Proven ability to manage cases independently
- Familiarity with Colorado and Federal court procedures
- Comfortable speaking up, providing input, and taking initiative in case strategy
- Self-starter who can manage cases independently while knowing when to follow guidance
- Passionate about client service and meaningful legal work
- Pride in work quality and professional integrity
- Collaborative, supportive team player
- Strong work ethic with focus on sustainable growth, not just billable hours
