A leading national law firm is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant – Litigation to provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to attorneys in its Denver, CO office. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on complex litigation matters, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and superior client service.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize assignments and prepare a variety of sensitive and detailed correspondence and legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and court filings
- Draft, proofread, and finalize both routine and non-routine legal documents, forms, presentations, and correspondence
- Assist with litigation preparation, including witness and trial binders, deposition logistics, and exhibits for filings
- Manage the billing process, including time entry, data review and correction, submission of final bills, and research of discrepancies
- Coordinate calendars, schedule appointments, arrange travel, and maintain meeting logistics for assigned attorneys
- Organize and maintain both electronic and physical client files while ensuring the integrity of original documents
- Prepare and file legal documentation with various courts in both hardcopy and electronic formats, staying up to date on all e-filing requirements
- Receive and manage electronic filing notifications through PACER and ECF systems
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of legal administrative experience in a law firm or professional services environment; litigation practice experience required
- Strong knowledge of electronic filing systems (PACER and ECF) and court procedures
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with document management systems (e.g., iManage Work) and tools such as Adobe Acrobat, Best Authority, Docu Sign, and PDF Essentials
- Excellent proofreading, spelling, and grammar skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to transcribe, edit, and format complex legal documents and correspondence
- Strong multitasking, time management, and organizational skills; able to prioritize work for multiple attorneys
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a professional demeanor
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
