As an Associate Attorney at Vivid Legal, you will work closely with the legal team and clients on complex matters related to ethics, professional conduct, compliance, and business litigation disputes. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter who brings good judgment, strong communication skills, and thrives when collaborating with others.

Critical thinking and the ability to synthesize and distill complex information to identify and solve legal and ethical issues are essential.

Key Responsibilities of the Position Include
  • Legal Research & Writing: Conduct in-depth legal research on ethics rules, case law, and regulatory frameworks. Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, ethics opinions, and client communications.
  • Case Management: Assist in handling client matters from intake through resolution, including preparing timelines, maintaining case files, and managing deadlines. This position requires developing mid‑level managerial skills, managing others performing tasks on a project and ensuring the project is completed with skill, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Client Interaction: Conduct client and witness interviews, communicate directly with clients under attorney supervision, and tailor research and analysis for advice on ethical and professional responsibilities.
  • Representation & Advocacy: Assist in preparing for and, when appropriate, appear at hearings, disciplinary proceedings, administrative/regulatory interviews, and trial. The position requires the desire to develop a skill set for first‑chair advocacy and creative client resolution through applied learning.
  • Compliance Counseling: Support clients with compliance audits, ethics training, policy reviews, and internal investigations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the firm's attorneys and staff to ensure cohesive legal strategies and efficient case handling.
Candidate Qualifications Require the Following
  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensure: Admitted to practice law in Colorado and with license in good standing.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of legal experience preferred in a litigation practice or judicial clerkship. Exceptional new graduates with relevant coursework or clinical experience may be considered.
  • Community Engagement: Contributions to the Colorado community through leadership or volunteering are preferred.
