Buckeye Welding Supply, a local leader in welding products and services, is seeking a Purchasing & Inventory Manager to join their team based near Denver, CO and will operate out of either Henderson, CO or Greeley, CO offices.
If you have at least 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or inventory management leadership roles, Buckeye Welding wants to hear from you! Experience with in industrial product distribution, industrial gas, welding equipment, commodities, or industrial retail supply's supply environments is strongly preferred.

Buckeye Welding is always looking for key players to professionally develop their skills across multiple roles and departments. - Competitive salary:

- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, operations management, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Ability to work on-site in the Denver, CO area with some remote flexibility, and to handle occasional physical inventory activities.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or inventory management.
- Experience with in industrial gas, welding supplies, commodities, or industrial retail.
- Proven experience implementing inventory controls and operational process improvements.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and data analysis.
Experience with Power
BI or similar reporting platform.- Strong ERP system experience required; familiarity with TIMS (Computers Unlimited) preferred.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted productivity tools such as Copilot, Gemini, or Claude is a plus.
- Lead purchasing and inventory management operations across all branch locations.
- Develop and maintain purchasing policies, replenishment strategies, and inventory controls.
- Negotiate and monitor vendor agreements, rebate programs, and payment terms.
- Monitor vendor performance and pricing accuracy.
- Support supply chain integration efforts for acquisitions and new branch openings.
- Establish and continuously optimize Min/Max inventory levels.
- Oversee cycle count programs, inventory audits, and variance investigations across all locations.
- Identify, manage, and reduce deadstock inventory while improving inventory turns.
- Coordinate reverse logistics activities including vendor returns, credits, and discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory shortages, shrinkage, and operational inconsistencies.
- Monitor inbound and outbound freight activity, including parcel and LTL expenses.
- Partner with warehouse to improve material flow and receiving accuracy.
- Maintain purchasing data, vendor pricing, and rebate structures.
- Develop reporting tools and KPI tracking using Excel, Power
BI, an ERP reporting systems. - Translate operational and financial data into actionable business insights for leadership.
- Train branch managers and operational teams on inventory process.
- Lead and mentor purchasing and warehouse personnel.
- Partner closely with warehouse, branch leadership, and accounts payable.
- Drive adoption of standardized processes and inventory best practices.
