Buyer, Supply Chain​/Logistics

A leading defense technology company specializing in high-power directed energy laser systems is seeking a Senior Buyer to join its Supply Chain team in Longmont, CO. This individual will play a key role in supporting the procurement and strategic sourcing of highly technical materials, including optics, custom‑manufactured components, and complex assemblies used in next‑generation defense systems. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include managing supplier relationships, negotiating and executing purchase orders, monitoring deliveries and supplier performance, maintaining procurement data within the company's ERP system, and partnering with engineering and program teams to develop sourcing strategies and supplier development plans.

This person will also be responsible for tracking key supplier performance metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with internal purchasing procedures and government contracting requirements. This role is based onsite in Longmont, CO with a 5 day/week onsite schedule. Compensation for this position ranges from $100,000-$140,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.

• 5+ year of experience in a buyer/purchasing role
• 4+ years of recent experience supporting supply chain for a manufacturing environment
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, or other relevant field
