Foote, Mount View Campus, and Platte Valley).
Summary
:
This is a full‑time, essential custodial position responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance across multiple CDHS facilities. The role requires timely after‑hours call backs, shift work, and strict adherence to JCAHO and state health regulations.
- Perform daily cleaning, sanitizing, and servicing of assigned work areas using appropriate disinfectants and equipment, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, and other duties.
- Execute daily detail cleaning of windows, walls, baseboards, and fixtures.
- Complete weekly and periodic project work in all areas, including buffing, scrubbing, waxing, and sealing of hard floors, and shampooing and extracting carpeted floors.
- Collect and dispose of trash and biohazard waste in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Assist with furniture, equipment, and supply relocation as needed.
- Maintain janitorial closets, supplies, stock levels, and chemical labeling requirements.
- Assist with snow removal and other seasonal duties.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- At least three months of custodial experience.
- Full‑time employment (40 hours/week); part‑time experience is prorated for qualification purposes.
- Full pre‑employment criminal background check required.
- Current State of Colorado residency at the time of application.
- Willingness to provide an annual influenza vaccination or exemption and to pass a TB test.
- Availability to respond to call backs, shift work, and essential/emergency duties.
- Proficiency with handling hazardous materials and equipment.
- Experience cleaning and maintaining hospitals, long‑term care facilities, or correctional institutions.
- Experience performing general floor cleaning, restrooms, trash removal, dusting, and vacuuming in similar environments.
- Valid, non‑restricted Colorado driver’s license.
- Must submit and pass a full background check.
- Must be available for call back to perform essential and/or emergency services without delay.
- Must be available for shift work, including weather‑related hours and off‑hour essential services.
- Must travel for training and meetings as needed.
- Must adhere to hazard exposure, chemical handling, and safety protocols.
