As an Instructor - OTJTraining , you’ll turn technical knowledge into practical, hands‑on learning for Frontier’s aircraft maintenance teams.
You’ll supplement classroom instruction by delivering structured On-the-Job Training for initial and recurrent qualifications — including Airbus systems, run/taxi/radio, ground support and servicing operations, avionics and structures.
This role supports technicians where the work happens, so you’ll train across classroom, field and one‑on‑one environments and travel throughout Frontier’s route system as needed.

Leadership scopeThis is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. The position operates with general direction and normally receives limited day‑to‑day instruction, with broader guidance provided for new assignments.
What you’ll do Deliver hands‑on aircraft maintenance training- Provide formal, structured On-the-Job Training for aircraft maintenance personnel.
- Deliver initial and recurrent Airbus run/taxi/radio training and qualifications.
- Provide hands‑on instruction and qualification for ground support and servicing operations.
- Conduct Airbus aircraft systems, avionics and structures OJT qualification training.
- Plan and conduct OJT lessons and evaluate technician performance against established completion standards.
- Support Aircraft Maintenance Technician and Apprentice Maintenance initiatives.
- Help coordinate the development, implementation and integration of OJT across Frontier.
- Demonstrate the proper use of applicable digital aircraft maintenance systems and standard office software as part of Aviation Maintenance Technician training.
- Document completed training in Frontier’s Learning Management System.
- Support cross‑departmental activities and special projects as assigned.
- Promote safety through practical demonstration of compliant maintenance practices.
- Support and promote Technical Operations safety initiatives.
- Model strong safety, integrity, excellence and teamwork while working with technicians and partners.
Required qualifications
- FAA Mechanic Certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
- Five years of experience in transport‑category aircraft maintenance.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge.
- Familiarity with aviation regulatory compliance requirements.
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to plan and conduct OJT lessons and evaluate technician performance against established standards.
- Strong organization and time‑management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to meet applicable background‑check and pre‑employment DOT testing requirements.
- Legal eligibility to work in the country where the position is located.
- Previous Airbus A320 systems training.
- Previous experience conducting aviation maintenance On-the-Job Training.
