Top-rated litigation and healthcare law firm located in downtown Denver is seeking an experienced Legal Administrator to join their team. This senior-level role oversees finance and accounting, billing operations, HR administration, vendor management, direct supervision of support staff, and daily office operations for a 25-attorney law firm.
Key Responsibilities Finance & Accounting- Oversee all accounting, billing, and financial reporting functions
- Ensure compliance with Colorado trust account rules
- Coordinate with external auditors, accountants, and tax professionals
- Manage employee onboarding, benefits administration, and personnel records
- Oversee payroll processing and work with payroll providers
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and HR best practices
- Address employee relations issues and maintain workplace policies
- Lead recruitment, hiring workflows, and onboarding processes
- Administer benefits programs and annual open enrollment
- Directly supervise and mentor administrative and finance staff
- Oversee daily office operations and facility management
- Manage vendor relationships and office service contracts
- Coordinate IT support and technology needs
- Develop, implement, and maintain office policies and procedures
- Partner with firm leadership on long-term operational planning
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Legal Administrator in a law firm environment
- Prior experience supervising legal support staff
- Strong accounting and financial operations background
- Experience with HR functions including payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage, mentor, and develop staff
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint/One Drive)
- Experience with Quick Books and Adobe
- Experience with Paylocity or comparable payroll/HRIS systems
- Extensive law firm finance and administration experience, including billing operations
- Experience with Tabs3 or similar legal billing/practice management software
- Familiarity with insurance billing platforms and healthcare-related billing processes
- Knowledge of trust accounting regulations
- Experience working with benefits platforms
- Competitive salary: $100,000-$180,000
