AboutThe Role
FTI Consulting is seeking a Senior Director to join our growing Mergers, Integrations, & Carve‑Outs team. The Senior Director will work with clients in domestic and multinational companies across various and diverse industries.
The Senior Director will engage with our clients and teams to improve efficiency and effectiveness at all stages of integrations and carve‑outs; from helping assess and identify inorganic growth opportunities, to carving out and divesting parts of the business and every aspect in‑between. As a Senior Director, you will make an impact by leveraging your education and experience to address key business issues and help tailor solutions to each unique situation.
Additionally, the Senior Director role involves both project delivery leadership and business development.
What You’ll DoIn FTI Consulting’s M&A Advisory practice, we provide transactions support and advisory to organizations undergoing major transitions, such as mergers and buy‑and‑sell‑side carve‑outs. We maximize the value of transactions by mitigating risk, minimizing business disruption, and accelerating the evolution to the new company operating model. Our team supports clients throughout the entire M&A transaction life cycle, from pre‑deal efforts through post‑integration, to drive value through the successful execution of strategic objectives while optimizing revenue and cost synergies.
Key Responsibilities- Lead enterprise‑wide business transformation initiatives to drive step‑change improvements in growth, profitability, and strategic execution, including strategy‑to‑execution planning, portfolio optimization, and performance transformation.
- Design and implement organizational transformation programs encompassing org design, governance, decision rights, talent model, and ways of working to enable the target operating model and post‑transaction strategy.
- Identify and execute cost optimization opportunities across SG&A, operations, and shared services to structurally improve margin while protecting critical capabilities and growth investments.
- Lead rapid cost reduction and cash preservation initiatives, including zero‑based budgeting, footprint rationalization, vendor renegotiation, and discretionary spend controls to deliver near‑term EBITDA and liquidity improvement.
- Design and operationalize target operating models, including end‑to‑end process architecture, governance, RACI, service delivery models (in‑house vs. outsourced), and performance management frameworks.
- Diagnose and redesign core business processes to improve efficiency, scalability, cycle time, and quality, leveraging best practices and digital enablement across back‑office functions.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement, eliminate waste, reduce process variation, and institutionalize a data‑driven performance improvement culture across client organizations.
