Electrical Superintendent — Large Retail Warehouse (Castle Rock, CO)

Position Summary

GMEA Electrical Services is seeking an experienced Travel Electrical Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale commercial and industrial electrical projects, including major distribution centers, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and retail developments. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all on-site electrical construction activities, managing field personnel, coordinating with project management, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

This position is based in Colorado but requires the ability and willingness to travel throughout the United States as project needs arise.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all on-site electrical construction activities from mobilization through project completion.
  • Direct and supervise foremen, journeymen, apprentices, subcontractors, and other field personnel.
  • Develop daily and weekly work plans to maintain project schedules and productivity goals.
  • Delegate tasks effectively while holding field teams accountable for performance and workmanship.
  • Motivate, mentor, and develop crews to create a high-performing jobsite culture.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, General Contractors, Owners, and Inspectors to ensure project success.
  • Conduct jobsite meetings, safety briefings, and workforce planning sessions.
  • Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and project documents to identify and resolve field issues.
  • Manage manpower, materials, equipment, and logistics to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure all work complies with NEC requirements, project specifications, and local codes.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety and enforce company safety standards at all times.
  • Track project progress and communicate field updates, risks, and solutions to management.
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and execution on future projects nationwide.
Qualifications
  • Leadership in Electrical construction work required.
  • Proven experience serving as Superintendent, Lead Superintendent, General Foreman, or similar leadership role on large-scale commercial, industrial, distribution, warehouse, or retail projects.
  • Demonstrated experience leading entire field teams on projects comparable in size and complexity to developments.
  • Strong background in electrical installation, project sequencing, manpower planning, and field execution.
  • Proven ability to delegate work, manage multiple crews, and maintain accountability across large work forces.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of motivating teams and driving productivity.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and electrical plans.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively and work on out-of-state projects as needed.
