Job Overview
Carrier Commercial Services is seeking an experienced HVAC Regional Projects Leader to oversee and manage all commercial construction modernization and Building Automation Systems (BAS) controls projects in the West region. This role requires a highly skilled leader to ensure the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects, while managing a team of professionals across multiple locations. The Regional Projects Leader will be responsible for coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders to drive project success.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage project schedules in collaboration with the project team to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
- Supervise and mentor a team consisting of Project Managers, Project Engineers, Controls Field Engineers, and Project Coordinators.
- Oversee the region that includes Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, and Hawaii.
- Ensure projects meet all milestones, timelines, budgets, and performance targets.
- Utilize Carrier Project Management tools and systems to manage and track project progress.
- Develop and implement best practices for project management, including standards, procedures, and tools.
- Maintain and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including revenue backlog forecasting, under billing, revenue reconciliation, and assistance with accounts receivable issues.
- Facilitate effective communication between project teams, functional groups, and external clients.
- Assess project team staffing needs and recruit new team members as necessary.
- Use job information systems to monitor job-specific data and support procurement/manufacturing requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all Carrier policies and codes of conduct.
- Perform other duties as required to drive project success and continuous improvement.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 10+ years of HVAC experience
- 5+ years of project management experience
- 1+ years of experience in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new software applications.
- Willing to travel up to 35% in the Western United States
- Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaborate with integrated project teams.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize both short-term issues and long-term projects.
- Strategic and tactical thinking to ensure project completion success.
- Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams and foster collaboration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate ideas and establish credibility as a leader.
