Group Vice President
Hybrid role covering several states. Ideal candidate is based in one of the following states: AR, MO, NV, , CO, LA, KS, IA, MN.
The Group Vice President is responsible for driving performance in all areas of operations including revenue growth, profitability, clinical, compliance, revenue cycle management for a specific geographic network of addiction treatment centers. This includes managing and mentoring the Market Directors, as well as the treatment centers' Program Directors. This critical role will also manage each treatment center's performance in the following key areas: operations, financial, patient registration and revenue cycle management, right staffing, training, compliance, outreach, clinical care, and patient service.
The Group Vice President will perform duties within the scope of their license or certification which, when applicable, are an addendum to this job description. Finally, the Group Vice President will advance BHG's mission and core values of Hope, Respect, and Caring.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
The key responsibilities of the Group Vice President include but not limited to:
- Responsible for the leadership, interpersonal skill development, and mentoring of Market Directors and Program Directors and other key leaders within the Group Vice President's assigned geography.
- Responsible for the establishment & monitoring of treatment centers' specific annual goals, including budget and yearly Business Plans.
- Work closely with the executive team to develop and monitor treatment center and area specific key performance metrics and financial metric achievement.
- Develop and launch program expansion and ensure performance metrics are achieved, to include patient lives, clinical, bad debt, right staffing, patient satisfaction, etc.
Training
In partnership with Human Resources, ensure training in the following areas:
- Leadership
- Outreach and Program Expansion
- Regulatory Requirements
- Company Policy & Procedure (P&P)
- Compliance
- Clinical/Therapeutic Services
- Medical/Nursing Services
- Administration
- Safety
- Customer Service
- Teamwork
- Periodic development of training collateral to be used to train the organization's team members.
- Execution and supervision of monthly, quarterly, and annual training programs to ensure learning plans are up-to-date and late trainings are addressed.
Operational Efficiency and Financial Performance
Responsible for ensuring efficient operations within each treatment center across functional areas including, but not limited to:
- Team member utilization and allocation of resources
- Patient qualification and admission efforts (demand capture and conversion)
- Medication preparation and delivery
- Patient processing (queuing, payment, medicating, counseling, etc.)
- Patient chart preparation and monitoring
- Supply management and usage
- Responsible for driving treatment center growth efforts by ensuring emphasis on:
Patient demand analysis (patient qualification) and priority/on-demand admission (conversion) for new/potential patients - Individual and team ownership of existing patients (patient retention)
- Monitoring and reporting on patient progress in treatment (outcomes)
- Integrating patient feedback into operations to improve patient satisfaction and retention
- Monitoring patient fee charges and collection
- Effective management of the patient registration process to ensure patients third party reimbursement is valid, verified and services are authorized by patient registration teams
- Monitoring treatment team adherence to the organization's treatment philosophy in both word and deed
- Ensure patients have ready access to wealth of resources (job assistance, education and job training, shelters, transition assistance, etc.) critical to achieving stability and integration back into their communities
- Responsible for monitoring the markets' treatment centers and related infrastructure to ensure they are maintained at a high standard of quality in both form and function
- Responsible for proactively monitoring and addressing treatment centers' performance issues
- Continuous review of operational, financial, clinical, etc. dashboards and ensure all managers within the area of responsibility understand the dashboards
- Identify positive and negative trends as well as the underlying drivers
Staffing
- Team Member qualification: the Group Vice President is responsible for ensuring team members within their region are qualified by appropriate education, credentials, and training
- Continuing Education/Credentialing:
In partnership with Human Resources and Credentialing, ensure all team members maintain licensure as required by the state, federal, and licensing authorities - Responsible for maintaining an adequate mix of team members necessary to provide best in class patient care
- Develop team member coverage contingency plans for unforeseen emergency situations.
