Your Impact

Lead the delivery of Newmont’s external sustainability reporting program, ensuring accurate, transparent, and compliant disclosures that support stakeholder trust and regulatory requirements. You will drive reporting excellence, strengthen data governance and controls, and help shape the company’s sustainability narrative through industry-leading reporting practices.

As Part of Our Team, You Will
  • Lead the collection, review, approval, and governance of sustainability data for key external disclosures, including the Annual Sustainability Report (ASR) and Corporate Sustainability Assessment.
  • Prepare and oversee external sustainability reports, ensuring alignment with reporting frameworks, voluntary commitments, regulatory requirements, and assurance expectations.
  • Establish and continuously improve reporting processes, controls, and data risk management practices.
  • Direct development of the ASR, including report content, design, and publication, while coordinating related disclosures such as the Tax & Royalties Contribution Report.
  • Monitor emerging sustainability reporting standards, disclosure requirements, and regulatory developments to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Build relationships with reporting frameworks, assurance providers, industry associations, and other external stakeholders.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members by providing clear direction, feedback, recognition, and growth opportunities.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative culture where employees feel safe to contribute ideas, raise concerns, and continuously improve processes.
  • Leverage technology and AI-enabled solutions to improve reporting quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Engineering, Business, Finance, Geoscience, or a related field.
  • Experience leading sustainability, ESG, corporate responsibility, or external reporting programs.
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability disclosure frameworks, regulatory reporting requirements, and assurance practices.
  • Understanding of data governance, data management principles, reporting systems, and control environments.
  • Experience with reporting and data management platforms such as Workiva or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of risk management, project management, and data analysis methodologies.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear and meaningful reporting outputs.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Experience developing or improving reporting systems, processes, and controls.
  • Awareness of sustainability, environmental, social, health, and safety risks, preferably within the resources, mining, or industrial sectors.
Your Work Environment

You will work in a highly collaborative environment with cross-functional partners including Sustainability, Communications, Tax, Legal, Internal Audit, enterprise subject matter experts, and business data owners. The role also engages regularly with framework-setting organizations, assurance providers, industry groups, consultants, and external reporting stakeholders. You will have access to reporting and analytics tools, including Workiva and sustainability trend-monitoring platforms, to support data-driven decision making and reporting excellence.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $143,. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
