Acura Parts Manager

The Acura Parts Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all daily operations of the dealership's parts department. This role is accountable for maximizing departmental profitability, maintaining optimal inventory levels for Acura genuine parts and accessories, and ensuring seamless support for both internal service operations and external customers. The Parts Manager is responsible for inventory control, purchasing, staff development, vendor relationships, and departmental performance while delivering an exceptional customer experience consistent with Acura's Precision Crafted Performance brand standards.

Success in this position requires strong leadership, operational excellence, attention to detail, and a commitment to supporting the dealership's overall fixed operations goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain appropriate inventory levels to support service, retail, and wholesale business needs.
  • Monitor and improve parts department profitability, gross profit, and inventory turn rates.
  • Lead, coach, and develop parts department personnel to achieve performance goals and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Oversee inventory accuracy, cycle counts, annual physical inventory, obsolescence management, and return processes.
  • Ensure timely ordering, receiving, stocking, and distribution of Acura genuine parts and accessories.
  • Collaborate closely with service management to maximize technician productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with OEM representatives, vendors, and wholesale customers.
  • Ensure compliance with Acura standards, dealership policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
  • Analyze performance metrics and implement action plans to improve departmental efficiency, customer satisfaction, and financial results.
Qualifications
  • Previous automotive parts management experience, preferably with Acura, Honda, or another luxury automotive brand.
  • Strong inventory management and financial analysis skills.
  • Proven leadership and team development experience.
  • Knowledge of dealership management systems and parts inventory software.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Primary Goal: To maximize parts department profitability while providing exceptional support to the service department and delivering a premium ownership experience for Acura customers.
