OverviewThe Team Leader plays a dual role of front‑line execution and leadership, overseeing a group of Account Managers to ensure alignment with company standards for sales performance, distribution expansion, and product freshness. This role is responsible for coaching and developing their team, executing against territory goals, maintaining key retail relationships, and ensuring high‑performance execution across all accounts.
Primary Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Account Managers to deliver against distribution, display, and sales goals
- Provide field training and ongoing performance feedback to team members, reinforcing company expectations, execution standards, and sales techniques
- Monitor individual performance through KPIs and adjust workloads, territories, or strategies to maximize productivity and execution
- Act as the main point of accountability for team execution and route effectiveness
- Foster a team‑oriented culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Support the team in driving market share growth through targeted selling, expanded distribution, and retail execution
- Ensure all team members are properly executing promotional calendars, new product launches, and in‑market programming
- Monitor and drive optimal shelf presence, coolers, and display placements across all key accounts
- Partner with District and Sales Leadership to develop quarterly business plans and promotional execution strategies
- Champion product freshness across the team by enforcing proper rotation standards and reviewing store‑level inventory activity regularly
