Manager, Payroll Operations

I'm recruiting for an experienced Senior Manager of Payroll Operations to lead a large, complex payroll function for an established organization in the Denver area. This is a great opportunity for an experienced payroll leader who combines strong technical payroll expertise, team leadership, compliance knowledge, and process improvement experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day payroll operations, including regular and off-cycle payroll processing
• Manage, coach, and develop payroll staff
• Oversee payroll taxes, garnishments, reconciliations, W-2s, unemployment reporting, audits, and regulatory filings
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and wage regulations
• Serve as a payroll subject matter expert and resolve complex payroll issues
• Oversee payroll, timekeeping, HRIS/HCM, and ERP systems, including upgrades, testing, and implementations
• Partner closely with HR, Finance, Benefits, IT, auditors, vendors, and leadership
• Drive process improvement, automation, internal controls, and operational efficiencies
• Lead payroll-related projects and system implementations

This role is 100% in office.
