Monday-Friday 6am-2pm

Job Description

• Performs inspections and does welding maintenance on plant equipment and/or machinery.

• Uses a wide variety of hand and power tools including all necessary welding equipment and support equipment.

• Must work safely and follow all plant/company documented safety policies and procedures.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities::

• Assists in repairs and maintenance of necessary plant equipment.

• Must be able to operate welding equipment necessary for the role

• Assists in removal and or installation of new or repaired equipment.

• Wipes down and removes waste oil from all plant operations.

• Uses appropriate welding equipment for equipment/machine repairs.

• Follows all plant wide and company wide safety policies and procedures and uses appropriate PPE.

• Complies with good housekeeping practices on the job and ensures work areas are clean and picked up after each job completion.

• Follows all environmental compliance polices & programs.

• Works as instructed with all departments.

• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area

• All other duties as assigned or needed

• Regular Attendance on site and ability to rotate to varying shifts

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Able to do repetitive hand, arm, leg movements for several hours

• Able to climb on and off fork truck

• Ability to stand for 8 hours straight

• Able to climb and descend stairs for up to 8 hours continuously

• Lift and push and pull up to 40lbs.

• Must be able to squat, bend at the waist and knees freely

• Exposure to temperature extremes

• Exposure to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable

• Bending and twisting

• Handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or control

• Repetitive movements

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Able to think under pressure and make quick decisions

• Ability to work well in a team or alone

• Good attention to detail
