Scope

Perform assembly operations on electronic components and subassemblies in accordance with company, IPC and JP standards. The main focus of this position is hand-soldering. This is a 1st shift position, hours 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Mon – Fri.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assemble parts into repetitive and non-complex units or subassemblies using hand tools and soldering iron.
  • Use voltmeters, scales, holding fixtures, bench tools, automated and manual soldering equipment and fixtures as required.
  • Operate under a stereo microscope for assembly work.
  • Follow written and oral instructions from process engineers, manufacturing engineers and supervisors.
  • Prepare and assemble PC boards; perform component preparation; dispense/apply adhesives; utilize various tools for mechanical assembly.
  • Inspect work to ensure it meets all requirements.
  • Comply with department and corporate policies and procedures including Safety, Security and ESD.
  • Inspect product at various stages of the process.
  • Create NCMR (non-conforming material review) and perform root cause analysis as needed.
  • Read, interpret and follow detailed work instructions and assembly drawings.
Essential Knowledge and Skills
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to perform basic and routine repetitive mechanical assembly operations using fixtures, screwdrivers, etc.
  • Proficient use of hand tools; ability to run automatic soldering equipment.
  • Ability to determine if product meets company s quality standards.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work with fine-pitch components and understand manufacturing documentation.
  • Basic mechanical and soldering skills; ability to read and follow assembly instructions and drawings.
  • May require limited soldering skills under magnification.
Education and Experience

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred Experience: 1 - 5 years of solder/complex assembly experience.

Compensation and Benefits

TTM offers health and well-being benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, 401k, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, life insurance, disability benefits, paid vacation and holidays. Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered. A reasonable range is disclosed below but may be adjusted for location:

$40,210 - $63,558

Additional compensation may include an annual or quarterly company bonus. Shift premiums may apply for alternative shifts depending on location.
