Job Description and ResponsibilitiesRocky Mountain Steel Mills is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Seamless Mill located in Pueblo, Colorado. This position offers the opportunity to lead dynamic teams, foster innovation, and drive efficiency in our production line. As a key player within our company, you will collaborate closely with cross‑functional departments, including quality assurance and safety, to maintain high standards and meet production targets.
- Perform daily mill inspections with an eye for safety and productivity issues, coordinate with mill support groups to design and implement countermeasures
- Use LEAN manufacturing tools to engage employees to continuously improve mill operations
- Schedule and maintain shift manpower for mill operations and training
- Onboard new bargaining employees, ensure that adequate training is taking place and complete timely 720 probation performance evaluations
- Responsible for managing an operational and quality team during manufacturing operations and while performing operational maintenance of mechanical equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Maintain necessary inventory of mill supplies, interface with storehouse and vendors as needed for resupply and trials
- Maintain and correct electronic and written records including shift performance, heat traceability, and quality assurance
- Maintain coaching documents (Note to Self) for all conversations surrounding attendance, behavior, safety, and performance
- Maintain KRONOS Pay System by reviewing, editing, and approving employee timecards daily
- Bachelors of Science Degree or equivalent experience
- Three years of industrial supervisory experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word and Excel
- Previous experience using Oracle
- Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to organize and motivate production teams for safe, high-quality results and maximum productivity
- Demonstrated initiative to identify areas, propose and initiate solutions
- Comfortable working a rotating (days and nights) schedule, as well as holidays and weekends as needed

Compensation$85,000 - $95,000
