Tune Outdoor, a dynamic and growing company based in Denver, CO. We specialize in creating lightweight, modular truck campers and outdoor equipment. We are seeking a skilled Production/Process Engineer to join our team and enhance efficiency and ergonomics in our medium‑duty assembly facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform time studies & analyze existing assembly processes to identify opportunities for improving efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing workflow.
  • The ability to implement FMEA to identify greatest risks and opportunities
  • Design and implement process improvements including building jigs and fixtures, gantry cranes and arranging the production line.
  • Create manufacturing work instructions and process documentation to clearly instruct our team in how to assemble and manufacture our products.
  • Enhance worker safety and ergonomics by designing workstations and processes that minimize physical strain and enhance job satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the production team to train staff on new processes and ensure seamless adoption of changes.
  • Use Solid Works or Fusion 360 to design or modify components as needed to support process enhancements.
  • CNC router CAD CAM knowledge and implementation capabilities to optimize tool use and create programs.
  • Monitor the impact of process changes and provide data‑driven reports to guide continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support testing and evaluation of prototypes to ensure product quality and functionality.
  • Implement preventative maintenance work instructions for machinery
  • Potential implementation of vision &/or dispensing systems for manufacturing & quality control.
Qualifications
  • 4-year degree in engineering (e.g., Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing) or a related field.
  • 4 years (or more) of experience in process engineering or a similar role, ideally in a manual assembly or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Solid Works (preferable) or Fusion 360 for component design.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping tools and techniques (e.g., 3D printing, CNC machining).
  • Experience with common power tools.
  • Experience building/fabricating with wood, steel, concrete and other common materials.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with production staff.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
  • Data‑driven mindset with experience analyzing and optimizing performance.
  • Creative thinker with examples of previous innovative solutions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, hands‑on startup environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
  • Stand, bend, and reach for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including exposure to dust and noise

Pay
  • $75,000 - $85,000 per year salary
  • Full health, dental and vision employer paid insurance coverage after ~60 days
