Summary :
Welding of standard products to include all specials, small parts, and templates used to complete the job. Welders will use whatever welding process is needed to complete the job. All welders will grind and surface finish all products per instructions given through blueprints, oral instructions or shop drawings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:

• Must be able to perform as instructed when instructed
• Understands units of measure and is able to perform mathematical skills associated with steel fabrication. Knows structural steel shapes and how they are denoted on drawings
• Must adhere to all Safe Practices, wearing and caring for all PPE required by OSHA and Company Policy
• Badges in, clocks in, and jobs in daily
• Can read and understand welding symbols. Welds various types of metals and alloys in vertical, horizontal and overhead positions per applicable codes and standards.
• Can set up and adjust welding machines, plasma cutters and all shop related equipment.
• Grinds rough edges, surplus weld, or scale according to blueprints, shop drawings and oral instructions.
• Cleans work area, machines, tools and equipment. Able to read and understand CAD drawings and fabricate from them. Performs other duties as instructed.

Qualification Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one-year certificate from technical school
• Or three to four years of related experience and or training
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The pay range for this role is:

22 - 30 USD per hour (ESS Metron - Denver, CO)
