Manager, Inventory Control & Laboratory Operations

We are seeking a highly organized, hands‑on Inventory Control & Lab Support Manager to help keep our scientific operations running at peak performance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of lab operations, inventory control, manufacturing systems, and process improvement—and who takes pride in building structure, accuracy, and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.

You’ll oversee raw materials and finished goods inventory, manage key manufacturing workflows in Fishbowl, coordinate lab support logistics, and ensure our teams have the supplies, documentation, and equipment readiness they need to stay productive. If you’re analytical, detail‑driven, and love making systems better, this is a high‑impact opportunity to help support products used by researchers worldwide.

• Own inventory management for raw materials, components, and finished goods
• Generate and manage BOMs, MOs, KPIs, and reports in Fishbowl
• Coordinate assembly and packaging schedules
• Ensure material availability and organized lab work spaces
• Lead preventative maintenance and equipment readiness efforts
• Manage lab and maintenance budgets
• Develop and improve internal SOPs and workflows
• Ensure lab safety compliance, SDS updates, and proper waste disposal
• Manage vendor relationships for purchasing and maintenance
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to drive operational improvements
• Present operational updates to leadership
• Manage and mentor direct report(s)

We’re looking for someone who combines operational discipline with a practical understanding of laboratory environments.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a science‑related field

or a business‑related degree with significant lab experience

• 2+ years of relevant industry management experience, preferably in process manufacturing
• Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and working lab environments
  
  Experience with inventory systems and process‑based manufacturing workflows
• Proven ability to set up and use data acquisition systems
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
• Experience setting performance indicators and managing team performance

$100,000 - $130,000 (DOE)
