OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Product Manager to support the Product Development Lifecycle of a subset of WiFi products and customer- and internal-facing features. This role will drive initiatives from ideation and assessment through development, testing, launch, and post-launch optimization.
This is a long-term consulting role and requires working in office 4 days a week in Denver, CO. Qualified candidates must live in the Denver metro area to qualify.
Responsibilities- Own the end-to-end Product Development Lifecycle for assigned WiFi products and features, from ideation through launch and post-launch innovation cycles.
- Support product ideation refinement, opportunity sizing, valuation, and prioritization.
- Develop and execute viable strategic solutions that address customer and business needs.
- Retain product ownership post-launch to ensure sustained competitive advantage and continuous innovation.
- Assist in the testing and implementation of WiFi 7-specific features, including;
Improved WPA security (e.g., WPA3 - Compatibility Mode) and WiFi 7 Multi-Link Operation - Partner with WiFi engineering teams to ensure successful integration within WiFi 7 routers and CPE strategy.
- Participate in technical comparisons and integration efforts to help guide overall CPE direction.
- Conduct competitive research in partnership with engineering teams and translate insights into high-level executive-ready presentations.
- Align stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and Business teams.
- Implement hardware and software development lifecycle best practices.
- Guide direction and provide needs analysis for in-flight development projects.
- Maintain feature performance tracking dashboards to ensure launched features meet company expectations.
- Identify enhancement opportunities for products that fall short of defined performance goals.
- Ensure all aspects of software development are finalized effectively before release.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Communications or similar field
- Minimum of 3-5 years Product Management experience, preferably within broadband, networking, WiFi, or CPE environments.
- Experience working with hardware and software development life cycles.
- Strong understanding of WiFi technologies; exposure to WiFi standards and security protocols (e.g., WPA3) preferred.
- Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams on technical feature implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct competitive research and translate findings into actionable strategy.
- Strong analytical skills and experience building/maintaining performance dashboards.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to evaluate and compare technical specifications.
- Excellent communication skills with experience aligning cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience with CPE (Customer Premise Equipment).
- Broadband, telecom, or network operator experience.
- Exposure to router firmware/software integration.
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range considers a wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a long term consulting engagement with an expected annual salary of $115-130k.
Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
