This position is located On-site in our Denver Location
The Machinist Trainee supports daily machine shop operations by performing basic machine operation, material handling, part inspection, and general shop tasks.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Supports daily machine operations by performingbasicmachine operation, material handling, part inspection, and general shop tasks
- Operate basic machine shop equipment such as drill presses, saws, deburring tools, and manual machines under supervision
- Assistmachinists in setting up CNC or manual machines by preparing tools, materials, and fixtures
- Load/unload raw material and finished partsand perform basic measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards
- Follow productionrouters, work orders, and safety procedures at all times
Experience:
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing or machining
- Ability to read basic measurements and use hand tools safely
- Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work in a team environment
- Good attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
- Ability tolift upto 40lbs and stand for extended periods
- Experience in a shop, manufacturing, automotive, or technical environment
- Familiarity with blueprints or basic technical drawings
- Basic understanding of machining processes or CNC equipment
- Completion of trade schoolcoursesor enrollment in a machining/manufacturing program
