Marczyk Fine Foods prides itself on being a world‑class, neighborhood market. The Packager’s primary focus is to prepare all food production items for sale. This dynamic position also encompasses light prep, bakery assistance, and cleaning. A Marczyk Packager must be able to diligently meet all production demands while maintaining the highest quality standards for execution, professionalism, and teamwork. The packaging day is broken into two shifts of morning and afternoon slots.

While experience is always appreciated, we hire for attitude and aptitude while training for excellence.

• Responsible for ensuring all items are properly packaged and labeled for sale in accordance with the food production timeline
• Bakery Packaging: slicing/packaging bread, sweets, and savory items
• Kitchen Packaging: package and label all kitchen produced items
• Cheese: portion (cutting), wrap, package, and label cheese
• Meet daily market demands for multiple locations with a team that can grow
• Adhere to the production schedule and communicate with the culinary director if unable to execute on time
• Consistently deliver the highest quality product demonstrating integrity in process and technique
• Responsible for department security and safety
• Monitor and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
• Work with the culinary director to monitor equipment ensuring good working order and timely maintenance
• Maintain a professional and open line of communication with crew members
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, staff and crew members to create a fun work environment
• Thoughtfully consider advice and cooperate with recommendations made by managers and fellow crew members on actions designed to improve department operations and financial results
• Follow all Health Department standards, guidelines, and regulations
• Handle inherent work stress professionally and positively

• Must repeatedly lift and/or move 50 pounds or more
• Constant lifting and bending
• Constant repetitive motion of wrists, hands, fingers, and joints
• Repeatedly stoops, kneels, bends, balances, reaches, crawls, and crouches while performing work duties
• Required to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time
• Able to display athletic attributes throughout each workday

• Packaging experience is preferred
