SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Supervisor role oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure products are produced in compliance with safety and quality standards on assigned production lines. The role is responsible for delivering defined production targets, managing a team of production employees, providing training, coaching, and performance oversight, and ensuring compliance with established safety and quality standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • SAFETY: Ensures employees comply with applicable Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulations, policies, and procedures, and drives a safety culture through proactive countermeasures such as training, daily observations, and audits.
  • QUALITY: Ensures daily Quality Layered Audits are executed and findings actioned, supports Quality department in closing RCCMs for any escapes, and ensures on‑time closures.
  • PEOPLE: Trains and manages production employees on assigned lines and shifts, maintains accurate training content and records, motivates and retains high‑performing employees, oversees workflow and assignments, manages time & attendance and overtime, engages the team, provides performance feedback, conducts reviews, and implements performance improvement plans.
  • DELIVERY: Oversees production by Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Safety, Quality, Order to Delivery (OTD), work order accuracy, and cost; communicates gaps to leadership; ensures production plans and deadlines are met; maintains accurate documentation; coordinates with the Production Planner to issue work orders and prepare schedules; informs stakeholders of status and potential delays during daily management system meetings.
  • CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Drives a continuous improvement (CI) culture to identify and address inefficiencies, utilizing appropriate CI tools.
  • TECHNICAL APTITUDE: Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment, follows escalation plans for troubleshooting, resolves shift delays, facilitates operator maintenance and repairs, notifies Maintenance promptly of equipment problems, and models IDEX values of Team, Trust, and Excellence.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to mitigate conflict.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to problem‑solve and improve processes.
  • Demonstrated computer skills and spreadsheet experience (Excel preferred).
  • MRP (Material Resource Planning) knowledge is preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED, required. Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing required, high volume experience preferred.

Minimum 1 year of experience in people management in a manufacturing environment, required.

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $76,200.00 - $, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for a performance‑based bonus plan.
