Cerebral Brewing is looking to add a talented and motivated Brewer to our team to further the growth of our nationally recognized and award‑winning brand. Brewers are responsible for day‑to‑day operations in the Brewhouse and Cellar, including wort and beer production, barrel aging, dry hopping and sanitation. This position is for our Aurora Arts location but may require occasional shifts at our Congress Park location.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all quality‑related record keeping and compliance documentation
  • Assessment, organization, management, and inventory of raw materials
  • Production of specified wort with attention to detail and world‑class manufacturing techniques
  • Filling, emptying, and sampling barrels as needed for special projects
  • Collaboration and creative ideation of new products and modification of existing projects
  • Low‑oxygen transfers, carbonation monitoring, and True‑to‑Brand assessment
  • Packaging of brite and still beer in kegs, bottles, and cans
  • Cleaning of FVs, BTs, and Brewhouse using industry best practices
  • Lead Brewer may assign other job‑related duties as necessary
Qualifications
  • We are a small team of dedicated beer professionals – a positive attitude is a must
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant brewing experience
  • Brewing‑related certification or degree preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to problem‑solve on the fly
  • Ability to work unsupervised while maintaining safety and quality standards
  • Self‑motivated with good time‑management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple processes at one time
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members throughout the brewery
  • Availability to work nights and weekends
  • Maintain and manage safe working practices, including chemical handling and use of PPE
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move 55‑lb bags of grain and move 165‑lb kegs
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods, stoop, crawl, twist, turn, lift, kneel and climb ladders/stairs
  • Ability to operate a forklift, scissor lift and pallet jack (forklift training available)

  • $23‑25/hr – adjusted based on experience and performance
