The purpose of the Pourer position is to complete tasks associated with making, setting, pouring and clearing Asphalt. As a member of the pouring crew at our facility, you will work alongside a team of 5‑9 employees. The Pourer will report to the Pouring Shed Lead.

• Notify your supervisor immediately of any accident, near miss or on‑the‑job injury when it occurs no matter how insignificant it may seem.
• Take personal ownership to work safely each day and hold other team members to the same high standards of safety.
• Works to achieve zero injuries, zero defects and zero losses.
• Participates in plant TPM initiatives - completing activities associated with TPM tasks.
• Zero Defects: works to achieve zero scrap or seconds.
• Communicate effectively when going on breaks and during shift changes.
• Report unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor.
• Visually inspect materials and remove defective materials.
• Package batches of asphalt products.
• Participate in projects and equipment repairs.
• Maintaining a safe workplace; keep work area clean.
• Any other task or duty that is assigned by the Production Leaders.
• Ensure quarterly color label is applied to all finished goods pallets.
• Participate in safety and housekeeping programs as established by Plant.
• Follow up on work orders.
• Comply with all plant rules.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Regular attendance and the ability to rotate varying shifts when needed.
• All other duties as assigned or needed.

• Able to think under pressure and make quick decisions.
• Ability to work well in a team or alone.
• Able to communicate in English.
• Must be able to learn the responsibilities of this position.

Computer and Software Competencies

• Must be able to operate a computer or other keyboard instrument.

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Some manufacturing experience is helpful.

Essential Physical Requirements / Work Environment

• Ability to stand for 10‑12 hours straight.
• Able to climb and descend stairs for up to 12 hours continuously.
• Able to do repetitive hand, arm, leg movements for 12 hours.
• Must be able to squat, bend at the waist and knees freely.
• Exposure to temperature extremes.
• Exposure to sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable.
• Bending and twisting.
• Handle, control or feel objects, tools or control.
