Responsibilities- Proficient in MIG welding and able to pass 3G GMAW test
- TIG experience a plus but not required
- Fabricate underground steel structures used to support electrical conduit raceways
- Assemble and weld custom fabricated components through accurately reading blueprints/drawings or direction from supervisors
- Working knowledge of welding procedure specifications (WPS)
- Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drills, ironworkers, and other shop tools
- Perform metal preparation including measuring, cutting, deburring, grinding, and cleaning materials
- Assist with bending, fitting, and assembly of fabricated products
- Inspect completed welds and assemblies for quality and accuracy
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures
- Support general shop operations and other fabrication-related duties as assigned
- Previous welding experience required
- Capability to qualify procedures for carbon steel and aluminum.
- Ability to read tape measures, shop drawings, and basic fabrication layouts
- Familiarity with metal fabrication tools and equipment
- Ability to safely lift materials and work in a manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Reliable attendance and positive team-oriented attitude
- Able to work under pressure and prioritize between competing demands
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively change priorities as needed if urgent needs arise
- Able to complete assigned tasks accurately and on time with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
- Ability to pass med fit test for respiratory protection and work in a manufacturing/shop environment around welding and fabrication equipment
