Sheet Metal Fabricator

As a Sheet Metal Shop Fabricator, you will transform raw materials into high‑quality ductwork and custom HVAC components. You will read shop drawings, operate fabrication equipment, assemble fittings, and prepare deliveries to support field crews.

• Operate trade‑specific machinery.
• Read and understand labels, select appropriate machines, and sequence operations to form raw materials.
• Interpret job orders and drawings.
• Layout and fabricate hand‑made components.
• Inspect and document product compliance.
• Handle materials.
• Understand equipment capacities.
• Maintain accurate time records.
• Collaborate with other fabricators and laborers to improve skills.
• Maintain equipment.
• Assist shop superintendent with new employee training.
• Assist shop superintendent with production tracking.
• Work with shop foreman to ensure production goals are met.
• Communicate order status to the shop superintendent.
• Perform other assignments as directed by the shop superintendent.

• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Adhere to safety and health policies; immediately report unsafe conditions to a supervisor.
• Maintain all required safety training (Orientation, CPR/First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Identification, OSHA 10).

• Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy, and hazardous areas.
• Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces, and adverse locations.
• Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.
• Work in all types of weather.
• Possess working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.
• Lift and carry 51–75 lbs occasionally, 31–45 lbs frequently, or 16–22 lbs constantly.
