The purpose of the Pourer position is to complete tasks associated with making, setting, pouring and clearing the asphalt. As a member of the pouring crew at our facility, you will work alongside a team of 5–9 employees. The Pourer reports to the Pouring Shed Lead.

• Notify supervisor immediately of any accident, near miss or on-the-job injury when it occurs.
• Take personal ownership to work safely each day and hold other team members to high standards of safety.
• Work to achieve zero injuries, zero defects and zero losses.
• Participate in plant TPM initiatives, completing activities associated with TPM tasks.
• Work to achieve zero scrap or seconds.
• Communicate effectively when going on breaks and during shift changes.
• Report unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor.
• Maintain packaging equipment in optimal condition.
• Visually inspect materials and remove defective materials.
• Package batches of asphalt products.
• Participate in projects and equipment repairs.
• Keep work area clean and maintain a safe workplace.
• Complete any other tasks or duties assigned by the Production Leaders.
• Ensure quarterly color label is applied to all finished goods pallets.
• Participate in safety and housekeeping programs as established by Plant.
• Follow up on work orders.
• Comply with all plant rules.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Show regular attendance and have ability to rotate varying shifts when needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

• Must be able to learn the responsibilities of this position.

• Able to operate a computer or other keyboard instrument.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Some manufacturing experience is helpful.

• Ability to stand for 10–12 hours straight.
• Able to climb and descend stairs for up to 12 hours continuously.
• Able to do repetitive hand, arm, leg movements for 12 hours.
• Must be able to squat, bend at the waist and knees freely.
• Exposure to temperature extremes.
• Exposure to sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable.
• Bending and twisting.
• Handle, control or feel objects, tools, or control.
