Summary of Job Responsibilities

The Production Supervisor role oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure products are produced in compliance with safety and quality standards on assigned production lines. The role is responsible for delivering defined production targets and managing a team of production employees.

Production Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure employees comply with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulations, policies, and procedures and drive safety culture through proactive countermeasures such as safety training, daily safety observations and audits.
  • Execute daily Quality Layered Audits and act on findings; support the Quality department in closing RCCMs for any escapes and ensure on‑time closures.
  • Train and manage production employees on the assigned production lines and or shifts, maintaining accurate training content and record/matrix.
  • Motivate, develop and retain high‑performing production employees.
  • Oversee daily workflow and assignments of production lines and shifts; manage time & attendance, overtime planning/approval, and drive employee and team engagement.
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations, including regular feedback, mid‑year and year‑end reviews, and address performance gaps through performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Oversee production on assigned lines and/or shift, ensuring key performance indicators such as safety, quality, on‑time delivery (OTD), work order accuracy and cost are met; communicate gaps to leadership in real time and ensure production plans are implemented and deadlines consistently met.
  • Coordinate with the Production Planner to issue work orders, prepare work schedules and inform stakeholders of production status and potential delays through daily management system meetings.
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture by identifying and addressing inefficiencies and opportunities for process enhancement through appropriate CI tools.
  • Maintain technical knowledge of processes and equipment, follow the escalation plan to troubleshoot issues, investigate and resolve shift delays, facilitate operator maintenance and repairs, and promptly notify the Maintenance department of equipment problems.

  • Demonstrated computer skills and spreadsheet experience (Excel preferred)
  • MRP (Material Resource Planning) knowledge is preferred
Education and Experience
  • High‑school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience required, high‑volume experience preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of people‑management experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $76,200.00 - $, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for a performance‑based bonus plan.
