Shift Schedule

Monday‑Friday, Saturday as needed. Mid Shift 12:00pm to 9:30pm

Job Purpose and Overview

The Production lead will assist the Production Supervisors in all areas of production. Direct day–to–day activities of the team in respect to line assignment, completion of scheduled production, quality, efficiency, and completion of required paperwork while ensuring compliance with plant safety, food safety and GMP.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Associate’s degree desired or have equivalent experience.
  • One (1) year of experience (and/or equivalent education) in a food manufacturing facility preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Ability to write routine reports.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Handle many diversified tasks, correctly prioritize conflicting, time‑sensitive tasks.
  • Proactive, self‑directed independent team member with self‑confidence.
  • Forklift certification is desired or must be able to become certified
Responsibilities
  • Manage and assist in continuous production runs.
  • Assure that all product manufactured meets the product specifications, food safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish high performance standards in housekeeping, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), International Food Standard (IFS) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) requirements.
  • Perform all the functions of the Mixer Operator, Premix Operator and Packing Operator and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) scanning system.
  • Follow the guidelines as printed in the job descriptions for those positions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned including Dawn Operations Tracking (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). IFS packets and Critical Control Points (CCP) documents.
  • Support the Production Supervisor and hourly positions.
  • Collaborate with all departments that support production.
  • Adhere to the Food Defense and Security functions within the facility.

  • Temperature fluctuates with the season – colder during the winter / warmer during the summer.
  • Working around heavy machinery – hearing protection required in production area.
