Overview
CORT Furniture Rental is hiring immediately for a full-time Furniture Repair and Refinishing Specialist in Aurora, Colorado!
The Furniture Repair and Refinishing Specialist is responsible for the repair and refinishing of furniture products to prepare them for rental or sale based on condition.
Products should be brought to the highest degree of quality by repairing scratches and dents, painting, etc., in order to exceed customers' expectations.
Pay$24 / hour. This position is also eligible for CORT's Performance Sharing Plan (PSP) bonus plan.
ScheduleMonday‑Friday, 8:00AM‑4:30PM; some flexibility or overtime may be required.

- Examine worn or damaged furniture to determine extent of repairs required, then perform those necessary repairs.
- Estimate amount of material required based on style and dimensions of furniture, and purchase the appropriate materials.
- Conduct daily touch‑up and repair of outgoing furniture.
- Order and maintain parts, hardware, and supplies for the repair section.
- Train other warehouse personnel in the basics of touch‑up repair.
- Track daily repaired pieces for warehouse reporting.
- Maintain consistent quality and quantity in work produced.
- Maintain a clean and organized repair area.
- 18 years of age or older
- Prior furniture repair experience
- Reliable transportation
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 months related warehouse experience and/or training
- Physically able and willing to move furniture; able to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Ability to operate equipment such as RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and stand‑up reach trucks
- Must pass drug screening (does not include THC); CORT participates in the E‑Verify program
