Job Summary

Material Handlers support production at Carlisle Architectural Metals (CAM) facilities by moving materials and products, organizing the warehouse, inspecting finished goods, collecting items from the production line for storage, and providing raw materials to production lines. Forklift Operators may also fill in for other jobs in the facility as business needs dictate. A standard 40‑hour work week with occasional overtime, and no travel required.

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Perform pre‑shift forklift inspections.
  • Record preventative maintenance, quality inspection data, equipment downtime, production output, and other key metrics; perform necessary calculations.
  • Safely operate a propane sit‑down forklift to move raw materials or finished products throughout the manufacturing floor, maintaining clear production lines and proper storage.
  • Visually inspect materials for quality defects, segregate defective products, and notify supervisor.
  • Fill dumpsters from the production floor; maintain housekeeping of the plant (inside and out).
  • Collaborate with production and shipping teams to follow all facility standard works/processes and improve operations.
  • Support the recycling/scrap area when needed and help keep it organized.
  • Fill in on other plant areas as required.
  • Assist other forklift operators as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Prior experience operating a propane sit‑down forklift or other mobile equipment (Powered Industrial Trucks).
  • Demonstrate safe working practices and strong attention to detail.
  • Follow CCM’s policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Good communication, organization, and time‑management skills.
  • Basic computer, math, and problem‑solving skills; ability to use a calculator.
  • Ability to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers).
  • Team player able to follow instructions from management and peers.
  • Ability to learn and operate new equipment.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing setting.
Working Conditions
  • Fast‑paced manufacturing environment with exposure to ambient temperatures, dust, mechanical parts, pinch points, and increased noise levels.
  • Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
  • Flexible to overtime and weekend hours when required.
  • Heavy stationary machinery on the manufacturing floor.
  • Use of radio, calculator, measuring devices, and hand tools.
Physical Requirements
  • Occasionally:
    Lifting 1–10 lbs, 11–20 lbs, 21–40 lbs, 41–50 lbs, 51+ lbs.
  • Frequently:
    Pushing or pulling 1–40 lbs, 41–50 lbs, 51+ lbs.
  • Frequent bending or stooping; reaching above shoulder level.
  • Driving automatic equipment vehicles; operating machinery or power tools.
  • Climbing ladders, stairs, etc.; walking, standing, and sitting as required.
  • Working in extreme temperatures, repetitive motion of wrists and hands.
  • Vision and hearing requirements met as per job duties.
  • Required hand‑eye coordination and dexterity for task performance.

Onsite at 1550 E 73rd Ave Ste A, Denver, CO 80229.
