R B Machine dba EMP Flight Components and Electro-Mechanical Products, Inc. are hiring experienced CNC Machinists for precision aerospace, semiconductor, medical device, laser/photonics, commercial/high-tech, and advanced manufacturing work.

We are especially looking for Machinist II and Machinist III candidates, but strong Machinist I candidates are encouraged to apply as openings exist at all levels. Final level will be evaluated during the interview process.

Shift Schedule Notes

2nd Shift Monday-Thursday, 2:00 PM-12:30 AM Four 10-hour shifts

3rd Shift Friday-Sunday, 5:00 AM-5:30 PM Three 12-hour shifts, with bonus to be paid for 40

Typical employees average approximately 5+ hours per week of overtime pay, depending on workload and business needs. We also offer a generous year-end bonus program based on company performance and individual performance.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for motivated machinists who can operate and set up difficult CNC mill and lathe jobs. The biggest current need is for Machinist II and Machinist III candidates.

Preferred experience includes:

• CNC lathe setup, programming, and troubleshooting, especially with OKUMA, FANUC, or HAAS controls.
• Experience operating and setting up both mills and lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, process sheets, sketches, and technical data.
• Strong understanding of tooling, fixtures, feeds and speeds, offsets, and machining sequences.
• Ability to inspect parts using precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to produce accurate first articles and maintain tight tolerances.
• A strong safety mindset and a team-oriented approach.

Position summary:

This role sets up and operates CNC milling and/or turning centers to perform cutting, drilling, milling, turning, reaming, boring, tapping, and related machining operations on metallic and nonmetallic work pieces.

Machinist III candidates are expected to bring advanced setup, troubleshooting, programming, and operator training ability. Machinist II candidates should be strong setup machinists who can run complex work with limited supervision. Machinist I candidates with strong fundamentals, ability to consistently multitask, who are committed to learning, and the right attitude are also encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities:

Machinists in this role may:

• Set up and operate CNC vertical mills, horizontal mills, and/or turning centers.
• Read and interpret customer drawings, blueprints, setup sheets, process sheets, and technical work instructions.
• Mount, align, and secure tooling, fixtures, vices, and work pieces.
• Load, retrieve, and modify CNC programs at the machine as needed.
• Set work offsets, tool offsets, feeds, speeds, depths of cut, and coolant flow.
• Machine accurate first pieces and inspect work for conformance.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and resolve out-of-tolerance conditions.
• Support other operators and machinists as needed.
• Maintain tools, work area, machines, chip trays, coolant, and lubricants.
• Deburr parts as needed during production.
• Operate more than one machine when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate job records and communicate clearly with supervisors.
• Work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• Follow all safety, quality, and R B standards.

Qualifications:

Strong candidates will have:

• High school diploma, vocational education, or equivalent work experience.
• CNC machining experience, with level determined during the interview process.
• Machinist certification, Mastercam or similar software knowledge, and programming experience preferred.
• Ability to perform advanced machinist math, including trigonometry, geometry, and basic shop math.
• Ability to use common inspection tools and quality control techniques.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, diagrams, schedules, safety rules, maintenance instructions, and job procedures.
