Production Worker​/Operator; Night Shift

• Picks copper and fluff off moving conveyor, assists shredder mechanics in changing out conveyors and bearing shafts, and greases bearings.
• Keeps the work area clean and ready for daily operations.
• Ensures conveyor bearings are clean and properly greased.
• Picks and sorts quality material.
• Reports any issues immediately as they arise.
• Assists shredder mechanics during projects.
• Assists in meeting monthly production goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Performs lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures before working on any plant equipment.
• Cross‑trains in other departments to provide coverage during short staffing.

• Completion of high school diploma, GED, or passing the company comprehensive assessment.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift materials up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for up to 12 hours, with regular walking, squatting, climbing, bending, and twisting.
• Willingness and ability to work in variable weather conditions, including hot, dry summers and cold, harsh winters.
• Ability to learn and follow direction.
• Self‑motivated: takes initiative and acts proactively.
• Strong work ethic: uses time efficiently, works safely, and ensures those around them are safe.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Recycling or mining experience is considered an asset.
• Mechanical inclination is considered an asset.
• Occasional additional hours, including weekends, may be required.
