Die Cutter Operator

Position

Quad is hiring full‑time Cutter Operators for our Spartanburg, SC plant. The role involves operating die‑cutting machines and performing set‑up, loading, and maintenance tasks.

• 8pm – 6am (Monday–Thursday) – $1.00 shift premium

• 6am – 6pm (Friday–Sunday)

• Confirm accuracy and completeness of orders, dies, set‑up, and installation.
• Load and feed paper stock and operate die‑cutting machines.
• Stage completed work per instructions and maintain the work area.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and guidelines to support teamwork, safety, contamination control, and efficiency.
• Perform pre‑production, make‑ready, and production‑run tasks.
• Operate powered equipment.
• Occasionally train workers on machine operation, including feeding and take‑off functions.
• Ensure the work area is clean and dispose of non‑conforming, over‑runs, and waste properly.
• Cross‑train as assigned.
• Follow all personal protective equipment rules and regulations.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

• Experience with Bobst Spanthera Die Cutters is a plus; experience with other models is also considered.
• Proficient in basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Accurately read and use measuring devices.
• Experience with hand tools.
• Ability to multi‑task.
• Capable of lifting 10–15lb continuously and up to 50lb occasionally.
• Strong verbal and written comprehension; can receive and follow instructions.
• Thrives in a team environment while working independently with minimal supervision.
