OverviewWe look for a Senior ICT / Security Designer to design critical infrastructure for the digital age. The role will deliver high‑performance data center and commercial environment solutions across the United States.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and select state‑of‑the‑art ICT and security systems, techniques, procedures, design, and modifications.
- Design and specify ICT systems including OSP and ISP fiber optic and copper backbones, horizontal cabling, bonding, cabling pathways, and telecom room design.
- Design and specify security systems such as Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and Video Surveillance.
- Present designs in client‑facing settings, representing HDR in a professional manner.
- Serve as a lead designer in a fast‑paced design environment, responsible for drawings and specifications for the entire discipline.
- Independently perform engineering assignments with broad guidance from the Project Manager.
- Coordinate cross‑discipline work to ensure a fully integrated scope.
- Mentor junior designers and help grow the ICT/Security team.
- Conduct QA/QC of the work of other designers.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in security system design and familiarity with Autodesk tools.
- RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) credential is helpful.
- Strong commitment to employee‑owned culture.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
- Experience in high‑velocity environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- Current BICSI RCDD credential holder.
- BCSI DCDC, OSP, or RTPM a plus.
- PSP (Physical Security Professional) preferred.
- Experience with data centers and federal entities preferred.
- Can‑do attitude and problem‑solving mindset.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in Revit and AutoCAD; willingness to learn new applications.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings, design standards, and practices.
- Strong desire for continuous learning and professional development.

Full‑time, regular employee. Compensation range: $97,888 – $161,920 (Colorado).
