Join our team as a Maintenance Tech at our bustling milk facility in Denver, CO. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain our state‑of‑the‑art equipment, ensuring efficient production and compliance with safety and quality standards.
What you will be doingMaintain overall operation of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and keep equipment running smoothly. Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime, record maintenance activities, and coordinate with vendors for parts and services.
Main responsibilities- Ensure operation of electrical motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
- Follow diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications.
- Diagnose and locate problems in mechanical devices.
- Remove defective parts, dismantling devices with hand and power tools.
- Determine dimensional changes to parts using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance and monitoring compliance.
- Fabricate repair parts using shop tools and equipment.
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories, checking stock levels and anticipating needs.
- Provide preventive maintenance documentation and complete maintenance paperwork daily.
- Prepare daily setup of equipment.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contribute to team efforts and accomplish related results as needed.
- Comply with GMP, regulatory requirements, and company/site policies.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing stairs.
- Knowledge of ammonia and boilers preferred but not required.
- Mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong math skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Ability to read and understand prints.
- Basic working knowledge of PLCs.
- Basic ability to weld, machine, and fabricate.
- Ability to use basic shop and power tools.
- Ability to work in noisy environments.
- Understanding of preventive maintenance and following instructions.
- Experience starting/stopping production machinery.
- Ability to adjust production machinery.
- Accurate documentation of process forms, equipment downtime, and work orders.
- Previous forklift or powered equipment experience preferred.
- Prior maintenance experience in a high‑speed manufacturing plant preferred.
