Process Technician Denver, Colorado
Job
Process technician opening in Denver CO. We are looking for a night shift process technician who has a background in the plastics industry. Ideally someone with injection molding.
Must come from a manufacturing environment.
Pays: $23.50-$28.50 hourly + $1 shift differential
Shift ScheduleSunday - Tuesday and every other Wednesday, 5:50pm - 6:00am
Job SummaryThe Injection Molding Setup Technician is responsible for setting up, changing over, and starting injection molding machines to support production needs. This role ensures molds, materials, and processes are set correctly so parts meet quality, safety, and production standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform mold changes and machine setups according to the production schedule
- Install, connect, and verify water lines, air lines, hydraulics, and auxiliary equipment
- Load and confirm correct resins, colorants, and additives per job requirements
- Set and adjust machine parameters during startup to meet quality specifications
- Start machines and approve parts prior to full production run
- Troubleshoot setup and startup issues related to molds, materials, and equipment
- Work closely with operators, quality, and maintenance to resolve production issues
- Complete setup documentation and update process sheets as required
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout tagout and housekeeping standards
- Support continuous improvement efforts and standard work practices
On-Site:
This role is required to be on-site 5days at the Denver, CO location.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of Previous experience in a plastics injection molding setup or technician role
- Working knowledge of injection molding machines, molds, and materials
- Ability to read setup sheets, job travelers, and basic part prints
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with specific molding machines, robots, or auxiliary equipment
- Understanding of scientific molding or process optimization techniques
- Forklift or overhead crane experience
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
- Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to heat, noise, and moving equipment
- Standing, walking, bending, lifting, and pushing throughout the shift
- Shift work, overtime, and weekend work may be required
