Conagra Brands is seeking a Plant Sanitation Manager to lead sanitation programs in our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will own plant hygiene, food safety, and regulatory compliance, ensuring our brands are produced in a clean, safe environment. You will develop SSOPs, manage master sanitation schedules, and supervise sanitation teams across shifts. Partnering closely with Quality, Production, and Maintenance, you will reduce contamination risks, support audits, and drive continuous improvement.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader passionate about food safety, people development, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead plant-wide sanitation program to ensure food safety, GMPs, and regulatory compliance (FDA, USDA, GFSI).
- Develop and maintain sanitation SSOPs, master sanitation schedules, and cleaning validation procedures.
- Supervise and schedule sanitation crews across shifts, ensuring safe and effective cleaning of equipment and facility.
- Partner with QA, Production, and Maintenance to minimize contamination risk and support efficient changeovers.
- Monitor and analyze sanitation, micro, and audit data to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Train employees on sanitation standards, chemical handling, safety practices, and environmental health requirements.
- Manage sanitation-related vendors, chemicals, and supplies, ensuring proper usage and cost control.
- Lead internal and external audit readiness for sanitation and hygiene programs, addressing findings promptly.
- Champion a culture of food safety, continuous improvement, and compliance with Conagra's standards.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety policies during all sanitation activities.
