About the Opportunity

JK Concepts is looking for a dependable, highly organized Shipping Coordinator to own the day-to-day coordination of outgoing shipments from our manufacturing facility.

This is a hands-on position that plays an important role in making sure our custom architectural millwork gets from our shop to the jobsite complete, protected, organized, and on schedule
.

The ideal candidate understands that successful shipping starts well before the truck arrives. You’ll work closely with Production, Project Management, and other team members to coordinate schedules, verify orders, prepare documentation, organize loads, and help ensure every shipment leaves the facility correctly.

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and willing to jump in wherever needed to get the job done.

What You'll Do
  • Coordinate daily and upcoming shipments of commercial architectural millwork, cabinetry, casework, and related materials
  • Review project schedules and work with Production and Project Management to determine shipping priorities
  • Schedule and coordinate freight carriers, trucks, and deliveries
  • Prepare packing lists, shipping documentation, and other required paperwork
  • Verify products and materials against work orders and shipping documents before they leave the facility
  • Ensure shipments are complete, properly labeled, protected, and organized for delivery
  • Coordinate staging of completed products and maintain an organized shipping area
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed
  • Communicate shipment status, delays, shortages, damages, or other issues to the appropriate team members
  • Track outgoing shipments and assist with resolving freight or delivery issues
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation
  • Coordinate with Project Managers regarding jobsite requirements, delivery schedules, and special shipping instructions
  • Help identify opportunities to improve shipping efficiency, organization, and accuracy
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and staging environment
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support production and operations
What We're Looking For
  • Previous shipping, logistics, warehouse, or manufacturing experience
  • Experience in commercial millwork, cabinetry, construction materials, or custom manufacturing is strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments, deadlines, and changing priorities
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience coordinating freight carriers and deliveries preferred
  • Ability to read work orders, packing lists, and shipping documentation
  • Basic computer skills and comfort learning manufacturing or ERP software
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Production and Project Management
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of the shipping process
Physical Requirements

This is an onsite, hands-on manufacturing position. Employees must be able to:

  • Regularly stand and walk throughout the workday
  • Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Bend, reach, kneel, crouch, and perform other movements associated with shipping and material handling
  • Work safely around forklifts, trucks, equipment, and an active manufacturing environment
  • Assist with loading, unloading, staging, and securing products as required
